John Powers is an Arizona native with over ten years of experience representing clients in business transactions and litigation, real estate transactions, civil matters and probate. John’s business practice is focused primarily on corporate transactions, contracts, real estate, general business law and disputes. Clients include public companies, small and midsize businesses, individuals, entrepreneurs, athletes and non-profits in transactions and litigation. John also regularly counsels clients with regard to civil matters including employment, tort and contract disputes.
John Powers graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in 1996, where he was Captain of the baseball team. He earned numerous academic and athletic honors, including selections to the Pac-10 All-Academic Baseball Team and Pac-10 Baseball First Team. After being drafted by the San Diego Padres, John played professional baseball for eight seasons – six before law school and two during – in the San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs and Texas Rangers organizations.
John Powers is also a Senior Adviser to the Business Council for International Understanding, a White House initiative created by President Eisenhower.
